"We visit Sweet Vintage usually at least once a week and absolutely love it there. The staff are absolutely amazing and will try to accommodate anything you may need. They are welcoming and friendly. The decor is lovely and I always look forward to what cute China set I'll get for my pot of tea. My children also love going and not just for the ice-cream. I always recommend people to go here and bring my friends and thei families. It really is the hub of the market Square."

"Recently visited Sweet Vintage with my wife and 2 year old daughter. This place is incredible! We were greeted by Lauren with a huge smile and made to feel extremely welcome. We ordered a hot chocolate and slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake (Absolutely incredible) for our daughter, my wife had a cappuccino and a slice of 'School cake' (which was so good she ordered another slice to take away), I had a Flat white and a Cheese and Ham toastie, which was delicious! The place itself has a very cosy and warm feel to it with a lovely atmosphere. Lauren was amazing and she looked after us immaculately. We bought some vintage sweets to take home with us, I particularly loved the cola cubes and rhubarb and custards! We have definitely just found our new go to cafe and sweet shop in Darwen!"

"Great latte today at Sweet Vintage. Laura is so welcoming. Love the decor. I could sit and look around at things and drink excellent coffee all day. The cakes are all homemade. Lots of jars of retro sweets. It would have been rude not to buy some peanut brittle. And not to forget my favourite childhood treat, chewing nuts. Give it a try when visiting Darwen."

"We chose to come over to Darwen from Chorley to have an afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Our son in dairy free, and it is so difficult to get something that isn't vegan, as he can have meat and eggs etc. The fact the normal menu states DF and GF as standard is just fantastic and saves so much stress and worry. Not having to troll through an allergy list was a welcome change! The staff here were all so welcoming and friendly, and the afternoon teas (dairy free and normal) were all lovely. Beautifully presented and very tasty. I would highly recommend Sweet Vintage to anyone, but especially for those with dietary requirements. Thank you for a lovely afternoon"

"What a fab hidden gem! I came here looking for a quick lunch, and everything was delicious! There were so many gluten free options - toasties, cakes, afternoon tea, even gluten free ice cream cones. The lady serving was so friendly and welcoming, and the cafe was super cosy, and decorated in a lovely cosy way. Will definitely be returning"

"New Owners of Sweet Vintage go above and beyond. Visited yesterday and the girls who work here are so lovely. The customer service experience now is great the girls work so hard and give the best customer service ever. If you are coeliac and want to eat some lunch I would truly recommend it to anyone as they try their absolute best. They also have the best gluten free cakes and brownies i’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit for anyone wanting to try it."
